• Overview of the Act with the new Technical Amendments
• The new federal regulations and an update on pending land consolidation regulations

Day Two: Tribal Land Consolidation— The Future

What options are available under the new laws and regulations for a tribe to consolidate their land base? The training will cover specific provisions that further a Tribal government’s authority including purchase options, partition by sale, enactment of tribal probate codes limiting distribution to members only, and other laws to further control and promote consolidation of the tribal land base. Additionally, tribal realty officials will share information on the challenges and successes in developing and running tribal realty contracts under P.L. 93-638.
